Unit 4 Volunteer Work 教学设计（一） 第一、第二课时 Listening and Speaking 一、教学目标 1. ss can understand the job about volunteers and get the information. 2. ss can combine the information and describe personal information. 3. ss can choose proper ways to communicate with volunteers. 二、教学重点、难点分析 Ss can describe personal information and sentences. 三、教学过程 Step 1 Warming Up Lead-in （1）the teacher show ss the pictures about volunteers.and ask they:Who are they? What are they doing? 引导学生复现有关志愿者及工作场景的词汇,如：volunteer， serve visitors, help sort the garbage… What kind people are they? 引导学生们复现有关性格特点和能力特点的词汇主题相关词汇,如： Personality: patient, kind, active, careful, confident, cooperative … Skill: be good at dancing/sports/drawing; love art/music; speak English well 2. Think and match. The teacher show some activities about volunteers,then ss match them. 3. Think and talk. （1）ss discuss about volunteer activities. （2）ss imitate activity 2 and finish the following blanks.eg: A: What kind of volunteer work do you want to do? B: I’m good at ______________,I like______________. So I want to be a volunteer for ________________. Step 2 Listening 1. Listen and choose 2. Listen and tick. 3. Listen and complete. （1） Ss scan dairies and finish the information of every blanks. （2） listen to the tape and finish the dairy about Lily. （3）activities：the teacher answer questions and ss answer them.such as： What did Lily do last weekend? How did Lily feel about the activity? What problem did Lily meet? Step 3 Speaking 1. Listen, read and underline. 2. Imitate and practice. *（1）ss are divided into groups,then make a conversation about activity 6 3.
