本课是一节写作课,本写作课的语篇是一个地震逃生手册,语篇体裁为应用文。语篇内容涉及三种不同情形下的地震逃生常识,包括室内、室外和车中。

教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
Guide Ss to talk about what “brochure” means.
设计意图:帮助学生认知和了解brochure,引入本课话题。
Step 2 Writing
1. Work in groups and discuss with your partner. Which disaster do you want to write about? What advice would you give on surviving it?
设计意图:引导学生谈论做一个逃生手册需要的主题和内容。
2. Read the brochure “How to Survive an Earthquake” on Page 41 and complete the table.
设计意图:学生通过阅读How to Survive an Earthquake总结本文的结构特点,完成表格填写任务。
3. Guide Ss to learn the Sentence Builder.
4. Guide Ss to learn the meaning of Imperative(s).
5. Guide Ss to learn features of Imperative sentences.
6. Guide Ss to learn how to use Imperative sentences.
设计意图:帮助学生总结归纳祈使句的定义、特点和用法。
7. Use the table and the pictures to talk with your partner about “How to Survive an Earthquake”. Pay attention to the use of Negative Imperatives and Positive Imperatives.
8. Guide Ss to learn the expository essay structure.
9. Guide Ss to work out the structure of How to Survive an Earthquake.
10. Guide Ss to write their composition.
设计意图:帮助学生学习说明文的结构,并引导学生完成How to Survive an Earthquake的框架结构,最终完成作文。
Step 3 Notes
Guide Ss to learn the key language points.
(1) If possible, find a strong shelter nearby which will cover your whole body. (shelter的用法)
(2) Objects may also fall after an earthquake and there are always strong aftershocks. (aftershock的用法)
设计意图:通过例句和讲解,帮助学生掌握本课重要知识点。
Step 4 Assignment
Choose one topic to outline your writing according to the writing tasks. You can either outline a brochure or just outline an exposition.
设计意图:引导学生自行选择话题完成写作大纲。
