U7让步、结果和目的状语从句 Part 1【让步状语从句】 1. 概念:表示即使出现从句中的情况,主句动作任然会发生,有“退一步说……”的意思。 Eg. I will try my best, though I may fail. Though he did not have much money, he was still happy. 2. although和though引导的让步状语从句 although和though的意思是“尽管”、“虽然”、“即使”,一般情况下二者可以互换。在口语中,though比较常用,although比though更正式一些。 Eg. Although /Though it was only eight o’clock, there were few people in the streets. Though he was ill, he insisted on going to school. Though she was busy, she kept on learning English by herself. Though I like acting, I would rather be a doctor. 【注意】主从句时态: 3.【考点解析】although和though引导的让步状语从句不能和but连用,但是可以同yet连用。 Eg. Although /Though you are a little younger than me, yet you are much taller. (√) Although /Though you are a little younger than me, but you are much taller. (×) 【举一反三】类似用法的还有 Part 2【结果状语从句】 1. 概念:结果状语从句是用来补充说明主句发生动作所带来的结果。 2. 类型 (1) so...that引导:so...that意思是“如此……以至于”。其中so是副词,用来修饰形容词或副词。 构成 so+形容词或副词 +that 或者 so + 形容词+a/an 可数名词单数+ that Eg. He studied so hard that he made great progress. Peter is so young a boy that he cannot go to school. (2) such...that引导:意思与so...that相同。但由于such是限定词,所以只能修饰名词或名词词组。 构成such +(形容词)可数名词复数/不可数名词 +that 或者 such + a/an +(形容词) + 可数名词单数+that Eg. It is such nice weather that I would like to go to the beach. Mike is such an honest boy that we all believe him. 3.【考点解析】 (1)当名词前有表示数量的多少many /much /few/little 修饰时,只用so. Eg. We have so much time that we can finish the work better. (2)so…that 结构否定可以用too…to…或not… enough to 结构转换。 Eg. He is so young that he can’t go to school.他太小了不能去上学。 = He is _ _ _ go to school. = He is _ _ _ _ go to school. 【典型例题】 (1)She is _ a kind-hearted girl _ she often helps who are in trouble.
