高中英语 附录 3 修 辞 恰到好处地运用各种修辞手法，不仅可使文字更加鲜活、具体、逼真，也能极大地增强文字的 艺术表现力和感染力。进一步说，如果能通过一些诸如比喻、拟人等修辞手法引起阅读者的遐想 和共鸣，无疑会为写作增色不少，也自然而然地能提升写作的档次。以下是几种写作中常用的修 辞手法： 一 明喻(Simile) 明喻是将具有共同特征的不同事物作对比，由本体、喻体和比喻词组成。常用 like、as、as ... as、as if、as though、seem、similar to、such as等作标志词。如： 1. Her heart is as hard as a stone. 她铁石心肠。 2. The scenery along the journey is just like a breath⁃taking landscape painting. 沿路的风景就像一幅 美丽的山水画卷。 3. He was running on the sports field as if he was a happy bird. 他在运动场上奔跑，就好像他是一只 快乐的鸟一样。 4. The icy wind started howling, cutting my face like a sharp knife. 寒风开始咆哮，像锋利的小刀一 样刺痛了我的脸。 5. The smile on her face was as vibrant as the sun on a summer day. 她脸上的笑容和夏天的太阳一 样充满活力。 6. I got lost on campus. I was so afraid that I felt just like a baby who couldn’t find his mother. 我在 校园里迷路了。我很害怕，感觉自己就像一个找不到妈妈的婴儿。 二 暗喻/隐喻(Metaphor) 暗喻/隐喻是减缩了的明喻，它同明喻一样，也是在两个不同类对象之间进行比喻，区别在于： 明喻把本体和喻体说成是相似的，而暗喻则把两者说成是一致的；明喻中有比喻词，而暗喻中不 用比喻词。如： 1. I felt a lump in my throat, tearing welling up in my eyes. 我如鲠在喉，泪水湿润了眼眶。 2. He is going through a roller coaster of emotions. 他正经历着情感的过山车。 3. A heavy silence blanketed the room. 沉重的寂静笼罩着房间。 4. The boy wolfed down the food. 小男孩狼吞虎咽。 三 夸张(Hyperbole) 夸张是以言过其实的说法表达强调的目的。它可以加强语势，增加表达效果。如： 1. I was so hungry that I could eat a horse. 我很饿以至于可以吃掉一匹马。 2. It takes ages to finish the homework every day. 每天做完家庭作业都要花费很长时间。 3. It’s beautiful, heavenly beautiful. 那儿很漂亮，就像天堂那般漂亮。 4. She went home in a flood of tears. 她泪如泉涌地回家去了。 5. He was bent out of shape. 他非常生气(气到变形)。 6. On hearing that he had been admitted to that famous university, he whispered to himself,“I’m the luckiest man in the world.”一听说他被那所著名的大学录取了，他自言自语道：“我是世界上最 幸运的人。” 四 拟人(Personification) 拟人是把生命赋予无生命的事物，赋予无生命的事物以感情和动作或是把动物人格化，使语 言生动、形象，更有感染力。如： 1. The tree stands silently in the corner of the yard. 树木静静地伫立在院子的角落里。 2. Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness. 爱是开启幸福之门的万能钥匙。 3.
