1.预习Page 3-4上的生词,根据音标能读出这些词,并掌握其词性和汉语意思。
2.朗读3a的文章,找出重点句子。
3.大声朗读和翻译Grammar Focus部分的对话,画出重点短语、句型。
二、预习检测
根据汉语提示完成下列对话
1.—How do you study English,Jenny?
—I study it by working with a group (和小组一起学习).
2.—Do you improve your writing skills by writing e⁃mails (写邮件) to your pen pals?
—Yes,I do.It really helps a lot.
3.—Luke,how can I read faster?
—You can read faster by reading word groups (读意群).
4.—How can I improve my listening skills?
—One way is by listening to English songs (听英文歌).
课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greeting.
2.Brainstorming:
Quickly ask the students questions about their English studying,using “by doing”.
Step 2 Work on 3a
1.Help the students to read and understand the three questions in 3a.
2.Let the students quickly read the passage about Wei Fen and answer the three questions.
3.Check and discuss the answers to the questions.
Step 3 Work on 3b
1.Read the instruction in 3b.
2.Ask the students to read aloud the passage in 3a.
3.Get the students to work by themselves and complete the sentences with what Wei Fen learned from watching movies.
4.Check the answers with the whole class.
Step 4 Work on Grammar Focus
1.Ask the students to read aloud the sentences in the grammar frame until they can read them fluently.
2.Ask the students to find out the preposition phrases “by...”.
