China is a country with a long history and has a wide variety of traditional cultural forms, such as dragon boat race, paper cutting and Beijing Opera. First, I will give a brief introduction to the Dragon Boat Festival. Falling on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month , it’s one of three major festivals celebrated by Chinese. During the festival, a dragon boat race will be held in memory of Qu Yuan, a great poet in the Warring States period. Besides, parents will paint realgar wine on children’s heads to drive away diseases and harmful insects. Second, let’s talk about paper cutting , my favorite handicraft . It’s believed that paper cuttings can bring us good luck and happiness,so they are used as decorations on the wall during large festivals and events. Third, food is an extremely important part of Chinese culture as well. It is a custom for people to eat tangyuan, a typical traditional snack, to celebrate the Lantern Festival. Tangyuan in Chinese has a similar pronunciation with" tuanyuan", meaning reunion, so they are favored by all Chinese. ①As a student, it’s our responsibility to learn about traditional culture forms.
