Analysis of materials
The content of this part is to review tenses. In Activity1 students are asked to
judge different tenses and match them with their pragmatic functions.
Activity 2 presents a syntagm telling a student’s experience and feeling
during his volunteering work in the gap year. Activity 3 asks students to read
the profile of David and talk about his life using different tenses
appropriately. And in activity 4 students are asked to interview each other
about their past experience and future plan. Then share with the class using
different tenses.
Teaching Objectives
After this period, students are expected to be able to:
1.Discover and grasp the basic rules and usage of different tenses.
2.Use twelve types of tenses that they’ve learned in authentic situations.
