Presentation:
Learn to read the new words by looking at the pictures.
Then play a guessing game, students guess what animals they are by looking at the pictures.
1a: Match the words with the animals in the picture.
1b: Listen and check the (√) the animals you hear in 1a.
Listen again and fill in the blanks.

3. Koalas are ___________.
Look at the pictures and learn the description words after the teacher.
Students learn the conversations and then make up similar conversations after the models. They should learn to use the description words given.

A: Because they are interesting.
Students look at a map of the world, and learn to answer where these animals are from.
Before answering, they need to learn some countries.

2a: Listen and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from.
2b: Listen again. Complete the conversation with the words in 2a.
2c: Talk about the other two animals in 2a with a partner. Do John and Julie like them? Do you like them? Why or why not?
2d: Listen to the conversation in 2d and answer.
