Section Ⅳ　Writing Aim To remove the shell from an egg without breaking it. Materials ·A glass ·a small saucepan ·some water ·an egg ·about 250ml vinegar Procedure 1. Boil the egg for about fifteen minutes in the saucepan filled with water. 2. Place the egg in the glass and cover it with vinegar. 3. Leave the egg in the vinegar for 24 hours. Result 24 hours later, the shell disappears completely. Conclusion The shell is mostly made of CaCO3 and the vinegar includes acids.
