Unit 2 They have seen the Pyramids. 1.fifteen-year-old的用法 作为复合形容词，意为“15岁的”，相当于“数字+years old”。但复合形容词只能放在名词前作定语，不能作表语。 Tom is an 8-year-old boy.汤姆是一个8岁的男孩儿。 =Tom is 8 years old.汤姆8岁。 2.at the moment的用法 （1）意为“此刻；现在”，常用于一般现在时态和现在进行时态。 I have nothing to do at the moment. 我现在无事可做。 The students are having an English class at the moment. 此刻学生们正在上英语课。 （2）拓展：at that moment,意为“在那时”。 I was doing my homework at that moment and couldn’t hear the phone.我当时正在写作业，没有听到电话声。 3.move的用法 （1）作为动词，意为“搬家；改变……的位置；（使）移动等”。 We’re going to move to Shanghai next week. 下周我们要搬到上海去了。【move为不及物动词，其后接介词to+地点】 The box is so heavy that I can’t move it. 这个箱子太重了，我搬不动。【move为及物动词，其后接名词】 （2）其形容词为moved,意为“感动的”，其主语往往是人；形容词moving，意为“令人感动的”，其主语往往是物。 The moving story made me moved.这个感人的故事让我感动。 4.send的用法 作为及物动词，意为“派遣去；命令……去；发送；寄出等”。 常用于以下表达中： （1）send sth. to sb.=send sb. sth. 意为“给某人寄某物” I send my parents an email every week. 我每周给父母发一封邮件。 （2）send sb. to sp. 意为“派某人去某地” The company sent Jack to Africa this year
