1. Free talk.

2. Review and retell Story time.

T: What do Su Yang, Mike and Helen do at weekends?

Step 2 Sound time

1. T: I usually visit my parents at weekends. But this weekend, I will take you to visit Mr Rose. Look, he is Mr Rose. (PPT呈现Mr Rose) Mr Rose grows a lot of lovely roses. (PPT呈现lovely roses，学生跟读。)

2. 教师播放Sound time音频，学生跟读。

T: How is “s” pronounced in these words?

  S: /z/

(学生齐读小诗)

3. T: Here are some other words with “s” pronounced as /z/. (PPT呈现其他单词)

Step 3 Grammar time

1. Read and answer.

T: This is my weekend. How about Billy? What does Billy always do at weekends?

S: He always watches TV and eats a lot at weekends.

T: Yes, Billy is too fat. He wants to lose weight. He is trying hard. Let’s go and see. (PPT出示范文)

  T: Billy is really cool now. Now let’s answer these questions.

2. Read and learn.

(1) PPT出示问题答案，突出频度副词和动词的第三人称单数形式，教师讲解；

(2) 教师引导学生归纳、复习动词的第三人称单数形式变化（PPT呈现）；

(3) PPT突出不变的动词，引导学生思考为什么这些动词没有变化；

(4) PPT呈现练习题。
