【教学目标】
1.通过Ask and answer的问答练习帮助学生运用核心句型,联系实际,围绕空气污染展开讨论。
2.通过Think and write的写作练习,帮助学生综合运用本单元所学的句型描述空气的重要性和空气污染的原因,并对如何保持空气洁净给出建议。
3.帮助学生学习字母g, j, s和字母组合ch, sh在单词中的发音。
4.通过学习任务,帮助学生巩固和运用本单元所学的知识和技能。

【教学过程】
I. Pre-task preparations
1.学生表演Say and act的对话,引入本课时的学习内容。
T: From the dialogue we know that smoke makes the air dirty. Today we are going talk about it more.
2.教师设问,让学生根据自己的认知说说空气污染的情况
II. While-task procedures
1.借助多媒体或挂图出示空气污染的图片,让学生说说空气污染的原因。
T: Look at these photos. Can you tell me what makes the air dirty?
S1: The smoke from factories makes the air dirty.
S2: The smoke from cars makes the air dirty.
S3: The smoke from buses makes the air dirty.
S4: The smoke from burning wood makes the air dirty.
S5: The smoke from firecrackers makes the air dirty.
2.根据学生的回答引出下一个问题,并出示Ask and answer栏目中第二排的图片,激发学生思考保护环境的对策。
T: There's so much air pollution nowadays. What should we do to keep the air clean?
