I. Pre-task preparations
1.围绕“假日”主题:How was your holiday? 让学生介绍假日活动,复习一般过去时句型和单词 museum。
T: How was your summer holiday?
S1:It was fun. I visited my uncle in Beijing. I went to the Great Wall, Tian’anmen Square and the Palace Museum. I had a good time.
2.播放Listen and enjoy的录音。提问Where does Alice always go? What does she go to see? 学生回答。
(1)Where does Alice always go? (She always goes to museums.)
(2)What does she go to see? (She goes to see insects and art.)
II. While-task procedures
1.根据Listen and enjoy的内容,引出生词insect。出示insect的图片或系列实物,如:ladybird, butterfly, fly, moth等,介绍These are insects. We can see insects in an insect museum. 板书并领读insect,让学生说一说昆虫类的动物。
T: What does Alice go to see?
S1: She goes to see insects.
T: Yes, we can see insects in an insect museum, (write insect on the blackboard) Read after me: Insect.
Ss: Insect.
