1. —What’s your name? 你的名字是什么?
—My name is Cathy. 我的名字是凯西。
“What’s your name?” 是一个由what引导的特殊疑问句,用来询问对方的名字,其中what’s 是what is 的缩写形式。
其答句通常是“My name is…”或“I’m…”。
2. Pleased to meet you. 见到你们很高兴。
这个句子省略了主语和be动词,其完整的句子是“I am pleased to meet you.”,其答语是“Pleased to meet you,too.”或“Me too!”。
其中“pleased”的意思是“高兴的,满意的”。当表示“很高兴做某事”时,可以用短语“be pleased to do sth. ”
