一、教学目标与要求(Teaching aims and request)
1. 复习本单元关于询问他人生日、年龄及应答的交际用语,能够在语言情景中熟练运用。
2. 复习本单元所学词汇,能够听懂、会说,能认读。
3. 能跟随录音说唱小韵文。
4. 能听懂:“Please take care of my ... . Put him on the ... .”等课堂指令用语,并能根据指令做出正确的反应。
二、教学重点、难点(Teaching points and difficulties)
(一)重点(Points)
复习在实际情景中询问他人的生日、年龄和应答方式。
(二)难点 (Difficulties)
识记并熟练运用1-12月份单词词汇。

教学挂图、配套光盘、单词图卡、日历等。

(一) Now I can understand
1. 导入
(1) 教师以问答的形式和学生进行口语交际练习,如:“What day is today?” “What’s the date today?” “When’s your birthday?” “When was your grandma born?”等。
(2) 教师将学生分为12个小组,将前面课时中做好的标注学生生日的日历分发给各小组,每组负责汇报一个月份中学生的生日情况“ ... was born on ... .”或者“...’s birthday is on ... .”
2. 指读对话
(1) 学生观察图片,指读文字,理解对话:
—When was your grandma born?
—She was born on January 19th.
—When is your birthday?
—It’s on April 1st.
(2) 扩充知识:“April 1st is April Fool’s Day.” 帮助学生了解西方民间的传统节日—愚人节。教师可以先让学生说一说,调动他们的已有经验,然后再进行适当扩充。
