Teaching procedures

Step 1  Warming up & Revision

1. Greet the class.

2. Let’s do. Go to the library.

3. Oral communication Our school.

4. Ask and answer What’s in the classroom? What’s in your school-bag? What’s in your school?

5. Read through the 4 word cards. ( together / in groups)

6. Play a Missing game to review and spell the 5 words.

7. Ask & answer Where is the …? It’s on the 1st (2nd 3rd 4th) floor.

Step 2  Present Practice

1. Point to the picture of our school and say Welcome to our school. Our school is very beautiful. Then ask some Ss Is this the classroom? Guide the Ss to say Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.

2. Ask the questions Where’s the library/teachers’ office?

According to the descriptions, review the words near, under, behind and lead out the phrase next to. Then practice it and stress the phrases by presenting on the screen.
