Teaching Design
I. Teaching Aims
1. Knowledge Aim
Students can understand the meaning of the passage and master the sentence pattern “We have ...... on the ...... floor.”
2. Ability Aim
Students’ reading ability will be improved by using different reading skills to understand the passage. Students can describe their own school by using the key sentence pattern.
3. Emotion Aim
Through the description of our school and the comparison with other school, students will love our school more than ever and cherish our school life.
II. Teaching Key Points & Difficult Points

Students can understand the passage and master the sentence pattern “We have ...... on the ...... floor.”
2. Difficult Points
How to describe our own school and arouse students’ love to our school?
III. Students Situation
Students in Grade three are usually eager to learn interesting new things. They are very active and expressive. Games are attractive to them. They prefer to learn knowledge while playing.
IV. Teaching Methods & aids
1. Teaching Methods: TPR, audio-visual method, communicative method and task-based method.
2. Teaching aids: video, PPT, interactive screen and computer.
V. Teaching Procedures
1. Warming-up & Leading-in
Say chant: Teacher and students say the chant in Unit 2 together.
Review words: Teacher creates a situation of magic school and review the key words in previous lesson together.
2. Pre-reading
Teacher sticks the structure of school building on the blackboard and asks students to guess “What is it?” Teacher teaches the words building.
3. While-reading
Activity 1: Listen & Answer
Students listen to the passage and answer two questions as below, “What building is it?” “How many floors?”
Activity 2: Listen & Guess
Students listen to the passage again and play the guessing game to guess what rooms are on each floor. Teacher prepares nine pictures on the PPT. Each student can choose one picture. If they were right, we say bingo toget
