一、教学内容：
《跟上兔子》四年级第1季 <Home is best!>
二、教学目标：
1、能结合绘本情节及插图理解leave，place, windy, dangerous, noisy, dirty, far, move in等词汇及词组
2、能正确地理解并有感情地朗读绘本
3、能通过图片和语言体会绘本人物的情感
4、能在教师的指导下进行自主探究和同伴合作学习，在体验阅读的过程中形成有效的阅读策略
5、能通过绘本学习，懂得金窝银窝不如自己的狗窝的道理并激发学生对家的热爱之情
6、能通过本次绘本学习，激起学生对绘本阅读的兴趣

Step 1: Pre-reading

T: Hello, boys and girls. I’m your new English teacher today. You can call me Miss Liu or Crystal. It’s OK. First, let me tell you something about myself. I have a warm family. There are four people in my family. My father, mother, brother and I live together. We all love each other and we all love our home. Now let me show you my 
warm home. Look, this is my home. How is it? Is it nice/big/new/beautiful...? I think it is warm and nice. I love my home. Do you like your home? Why?
- Talk about Mr Parrot’s home
T: Now, look at this house. It’s Mr Parrot’s home. How is it? It’s ... and ... .
Today we are going to read a story about Mr Parrot and his home. Ready? Let’s begin.
Step 2: While-reading
1. Read the cover
T: Look, it’s the cover of our picture book. What can you see on the cover?
S1: Home is best.
T: Yeah, that’s the name of the story.
S2: I can see Mr Parrot and his house.
T: And there are some trees, too. What else? That’s all? Let me tell you something more. Here we can see the series of the book, the editors, the name of the story and the main characters.
Here’s a learning tip for you: When we read a picture book, please remember to read the cover carefully first. It can tell us a lot of information.
2. Read and say
T: Now, let’s go on our reading. Please read the whole story by yourselves. What do you know from the story? You can say freely.
3. Skim and find
T: Just now, some of you mentioned that Mr Parrot was not happy. Why is he not happy? Please skim the story quickly and try to read it. … He does not like his little old house. He thinks his house is little and old. What does he want to do then? ... Look, he flies away. He begins to find his new home.
4. Read and find
T: He flies and flies. What new homes does he find? You can speak in Chinese. First, a hole in the tree, a pit, a ship, this time, cliff and the big bell, then, chimney, the moon.(The bright moon, it looks nice, so Mr Parrot wants to live there.)
5. Read and fill the line
示范教： （a hole in the tree）
What new home does he find first?
How is the new home?
Can he move in? Why?
T: This place looks nice. But somebody else lives there. Poor parrot. What a pity! Now let’s try to read.
模仿学：(其他地点)
T：This is Mr Parrot’s first new home. This place looks nice. But somebody else lives there. What about the other new homes? Please work in groups of four and choose the part you like. After your group work, you can show your production in 2 ways. One, you can ask and answer. Two, you can choose one student to present.
