本单元的话题是社区,本课顺承第一课的故事情节,Li Ming 带领Andy参观他们的社区,介绍社区人们的休闲娱乐情况和周边环境等。从语法的角度来说是进一步学习There be结构,特别是其一般疑问句及回答等。
2、 教学目标
1. 知识、技能目标
能在文本语境中听懂、会说、认读、拼写单词men, think, supermarket, beside;能听懂、会说、认读单词和短语:garden, Chinese chess, bookshop, centre并能结合句型灵活运用。
2. 情感目标
能听懂、会说、认读句型:“There is a supermarket beside it. ” “Is there a gym around? No. ” 能用there be 句型介绍小区的设施。

Step1: Warm-up
Free talk: 介绍自己的邻居。
如:Mary is my neighbour. She’s from Shanghai. She likes ...
Step 2: Presentation
1.T:Li Ming shows Andy around the neighbourhood.“What’s in the neighbourhood?”Let’s watch the CD-ROM
Ss: There’s a garden, a bookshop, a supermarket, and a sports center. 教授单词garden, bookshop, supermarket, sports centre.
2. T:“What are the men doing in the garden?”
Ss: “They’re playing Chinese chess.”教授单词men 和短语 Chinese chess.
T: “Andy says, Chinese chess is different from their chess.” Do you think so? Why? 教授单词think并给学生介绍中国象棋和国际象棋的区别。
