This section is made up of two parts, prefixes and suffixes, and organs of the body. We will first learn the commonly used prefixes and suffixes which may help us work out the meanings of words that we do not know. Then we will look at two pictures to learn words and expressions related to organs of the body and read a small passage about how the body works. We are expected to enlarge our vocabulary in this section and put the relevant words and expressions into practice.

Sometimes you can guess what a word means by looking at its prefix or suffix. Cover the right-hand column of each table. Look at the example and work out the meanings.
