【原文】Hello everyone! I’m so excited to share my recent travel experience with you. Last month, I went to a small coastal town called Zhoushan. It was a completely different world from the busy city life I’m used to.
As soon as I arrived in Zhoushan, I was greeted by the fresh sea breeze and the sound of waves crashing on the shore. The beaches there were amazing, with soft golden sand and clear blue water. I spent hours just walking along the beach, collecting seashells and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the local seafood market. The market was filled with all kinds of fresh seafood, from huge crabs to delicious shrimps — and they were not expensive. I tried some of the local specialties like grilled fish and seafood pasta. They were so delicious that I couldn’t stop eating.
The people in Zhoushan were also very friendly. Everywhere I went, I was greeted with warm smiles and helpful advice. They were proud of their town and always happy to share their history and traditions with visitors.
I also had the opportunity to take a boat tour around the nearby islands. The views from the boat were breathtaking. I saw colorful coral reefs, schools of tropical fish, and even some dolphins swimming beside the boat. It was an unforgettable experience.
In a word, my trip to Zhoushan was a wonderful escape from the stress of daily life. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

22. —Do you know ______ man in ______ black?
—He is my father.
A. a; a B. the; a C. the; / D. a; /
【答案】C

A. and B. but C. or D. so
【答案】B
【解析】

A. had begun B. had been on C. has begun D. has been on

28. The factory ________ we visited yesterday is the one ________ my father once worked.
A. that; which B. which; where C. where; that D. where; where

Chinese people are eating too much salt. On average, people in China eat about 10.5grams of salt each day, much higher than the 5 grams recommended by Chinese Dietary Guidelines (2022).
China now has one of the highest salt intakes in the world. To fix this, China issued a salt reduction guide for its food industry.
If the guide is followed properly, the average salt intake for Chinese people will drop by 20 percent by 2030. The guide calls for food companies to lower the salt content in their products by improving their production techniques and adjusting (调整) flavors.
The salt we take in mainly comes from processed food. For example, a 104-gram can of Lay’s classic potato chips contains about 0.66 grams of salt, which accounts for over 10percent of the recommended daily salt intake. A100-gram bag of Kang Shi Fu instant noodles has nearly 2 grams of salt.
A small amount of salt makes food taste better and is important for good health, but eating too much increases the risk of high blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes (中风), the Xinhua News Agency reported.
Less salt leads to better health. And there’s no need to worry that food will be less tasty in the future. A study by the Monell Chemical Senses Center in the United States found that it’s easy for people to reduce their salt intake. Although you may think your food is not salty enough at first, your taste buds (味蕾) will gradually get used to it and you will feel that your food tastes the same as it did before.

A. 2 grams. B. 5 grams. C. 10.5 grams. D. 0.66 grams.

C. The government is taking active measures to solve the high-salt intake problem.
D. The food industry will be forced to close down if they don’t follow the guide.
68. Where does the salt we take in mainly come from?
A. Fresh vegetables. B. Natural water. C. Fruits. D. Processed food.
69. The underlined word “intake” in the second paragraph probably means “______” in Chinese.
A. 摄入量 B. 销售量 C. 消耗量 D. 产出量
70. According to the passage, what can we infer about people’s taste buds?
A. They always prefer salty food.
B. They can’t adapt to less-salty food.
C. They will gradually change to get used to less-salty food.
D. They play no role in reducing salt intake.
【答案】66. B 67. C 68. D 69. A 70. C

Family values are very important in both Chinese and Western cultures, but they are also quite different.
In China, families usually care a lot about each other. Extended families, like grandparents, parents, and children, might live together or be really close. We believe in being filial to our parents, which means respecting and taking good care of them. When it comes to big decisions in life, like what job to choose or who to marry, the whole family often talks about it and gives opinions. For example, a child might consider what their parents think before making a choice.
In Western countries, it’s a bit different. They focus more on the independence of each person. Kids are taught to be independent early. Nuclear families, just the parents and kids, are more common. People have more freedom to decide what they want to do in life. For instance, when a young person in the West is thinking about a career, they usually follow what they like and are passionate about, without too much worry about what the whole family thinks.
These differences show how Chinese culture values the group and Western culture values the individual. Knowing about these differences can help us understand each other better and get along well when we communicate with people from different cultures.
71. In China, what is the common family structure now?
A. Extended family. B. Big family with many relatives.
C. Nuclear family. D. Five-generation family.

A. Only listen to their parents’ advice. B. Follow their parents’ decisions.
C. Consider both their and parents’ ideas. D. Follow what they like.
74. The underlined word “filial” in the text probably means “______”.
A. being friendly to others B. being loyal to the country
C. being respectful and caring to parents D. being good at schoolwork
75. What is the main idea of this text?
A. To introduce the same family values in China and the West.
B. To show the different family values between China and the West.
C. To tell us how to choose a career in different cultures.
D. To explain why Western families are better.
【答案】71. A 72. C 73. D 74. C 75. B

Renewable energy comes from natural things that can be filled up again, like the sun, wind, water, and heat from the earth. Let’s start with solar power. In recent years, the global solar power capacity has been growing rapidly. By the end of 2023, it reached over 1,000 gigawatts, which shows its increasing importance. We use special panels to turn sunlight into electricity. You can see these panels on top of some houses or in big fields in sunny places. They are a clean way to get power.
Wind energy is another important one. Currently, there are more than 700,000 wind turbines (涡轮) operating worldwide. When the wind blows, the blades turn. This movement changes the wind’s energy into electricity. Many countries are building these turbines in different areas.
Hydropower (水力发电) is made by using the force of moving water, often with dams. It has been used for a long time and accounts for about 16% of the world’s electricity generation. The water flows through and makes machines work to produce electricity.
Geothermal energy (地热能) uses the heat that comes from deep inside the earth. In some geothermal power plants, the temperature of the underground water can reach as high as 300 degrees Celsius, which is then used to generate electricity.
Renewable energy is really good because it helps us use less of the old fuels like coal and oil that are running out and also cause pollution. It gives us a better and cleaner way to get the energy we need for our lives.

66. How much salt should a man take in according to Chinese Dietary Guidelines?
A. 2 grams. B. 5 grams. C. 10.5 grams. D. 0.66 grams.
67. What can we infer from the fact that China issued a salt reduction guide for food industry?
A. The food industry has no awareness of the high salt problem.
B. The average salt intake for Chinese people will drop by 20 percent by 2030.
72. In Western families, how are the family members like?
A. They usually live with extended family. B. They don’t care about each other much.
C. They value personal independence. D. They always make decisions together.
73. When it comes to career choices, what do Western young people do?
A. Only listen to their parents’ advice. B. Follow their parents’ decisions.
C. Consider both their and parents’ ideas. D. Follow what they like.

Currently there are more than 700,000 wind turbines (涡轮) operating worldwide.
76. Solar power capacity was more than 10,000 gigawatts by the end of 2023.
77. Wind turbines use the wind’s energy to make electricity.
78. Hydropower is produced by running water.
